-Description-
Hydroquinone CAS 123-31-9 is used as an imaging and dye, pharmaceutical raw materials.
Hydroquinone is mainly used for photographic developer. Alkylation of hydroquinone and its compounds are widely used in the process and transportation of the monomer addition polymerization inhibitor.
Hydroquinone is a pigment-lightening agent used in bleaching creams. Hydroquinone combines with oxygen very rapidly and becomes brown when exposed to air. Although it occurs naturally, the synthetic version is the one commonly used in cosmetics.
-Function-
1. Hydroquinone is mainly used as a photographic developer. Hydroquinone and its alkyl compounds are widely used as inhibitors added during monomer storage and transportation, and the commonly used concentration is about 200 ppm.
2. Used as an antioxidant for rubber and gasoline, etc.
3. In the processing field, adding hydroquinone to the hot water and cooling water of the closed-circuit heating and cooling system can inhibit corrosion of the metal on the water side. Hydroquinone is used as an oxygen scavenger for boiler water. When the boiler water is preheated and deoxygenated, hydroquinone is added to it to remove residual dissolved oxygen.
4. It is to manufacture anthraquinone dyes, azo dyes, and pharmaceutical raw materials.
5. Used as a corrosion inhibitor, stabilizer and antioxidant for detergents, and also used as a hair dye in cosmetics.
